Inventory and Ordering Specialist
Responsibilities Summary
- Coordinate with Department Manager on ordering strategies and plans to meet company goals
- Oversee sales, margins and profit/growth
- Manage inventory, order and merchandise products
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate product, availability, delivery, and price, and negotiate for pricing
- Coordinate returns and credit from suppliers when needed and ensure employees with ordering responsibilities know how to do the same.
- Troubleshoot vendor problems and present to Department Manager as required
- Ensure all products are properly tagged, labeled and entered into the Catapult system
- Manage all product storage and ensure shelves are loaded with fresh products and rotated properly at all times
- Set sales goals and work with managers and employees to ensure goals are met
- Set competitive price points and adjust prices to increase sales and clear stagnant items from inventory, verify tags and system pricing for price managed items items
- Other duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements
- Work in a moderately noisy environment with multiple conversations and tasks being carried out at the same time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, lift, carry
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs. often, adjusting, pushing, pulling or moving objects in all directions (includes maneuvering carts and wagons)
- Repeating motions that may include entire body
- Ability to withstand drastic temperature changes (cooler, walk-in freezer, hot/cold from walking outdoors, heat from kitchen, etc.)
