Requirements

No previous experience required however, must be willing to become an espresso “perfectionist”, learning all of the operations of the espresso machine and performing them with detail and skill.

Description

The barista at The Hungry Moose Market & Deli is responsible for the daily operations and overall appearance of the espresso, coffee and smoothie area. The barista will be trained in the operations of the espresso machine and will be responsible for helping to develop the reputation of The Hungry Moose Market & Deli as having the best coffee drinks in Big Sky. The barista is friendly and should love coffee. It is important that the barista can also help out in other areas of the deli and store during 'down' times.

Expectations

·        Some knowledge of coffee and/or desire to learn more

·        Ability to use all related equipment:

o       Espresso machine

o       Coffee grinders

o       Smoothie blender

o       Airpot coffee brewer

o       Airpots, creamers etc. . .

·        Maintain coffee “condiment area” in deli seating area (monitor airpots, creamers, sugar, soda machine and keep area neat and clean at all times)

·        Attention to detail

·        Exhibit good customer service

·        Know how to handle customer complaints

·        Know all running duties during down times

·        Know all opening and closing duties in the deli

·        Maintain the deli and market’s visual appearance, keeping it clean and neat

·        Be comfortable working under pressure during busy times

·        Complete all cleaning duties

·        Check out with deli manager
